After the application period has concluded, 16 registered teams will be chosen by lottery to participate in a preliminary tournament in each World.

Tournament trees and match results for each World will be posted on the official Ballista Royale site. The team that wins the preliminary tournament on each World will represent that World in the Ballista Royale tournament.

*Members of teams selected by lottery to participate in the preliminary tournament will receive notification via PlayOnline mail.
*The set match times for the tournament cannot be changed or postponed for any reason.

Tournament Flow

  1. Log in to FINAL FANTASY XI with the character that has been selected to participate in the preliminary tournament. Speak to the NPC named Tillecoe in Ru'Lude Gardens, and receive the item required to participate in Ballista Royale (either the "Wyvern Codex" or the "Griffon Codex"). The item will be inscribed with the match times for the character's team.

*All team members who wish to participate in a match must receive the item before match time.

*If the item is discarded, it can be obtained through the same procedure if it is before match time.

  2. When it is time for a match, trade the abovementioned item back to the NPC named Tillecoe, and the character will be transported to the match area "Diorama Abdhaljs-Ghelsba."
*For details, please refer to the April 21, 2005 "Changes to Ballista" article in the Update History section of the "Developer's Room."
