Sqvall: Trained a bit off and on, but we're composed of people who know what they're doing, and as well, our whole team does normal ballista a bit.
Raddick: Nope, we talked about having practice matches and scheduled practices but we never did it. We did have some brief talks about strategy through /tells but nothing much really. Now that the matches are more meaningful to us, I for one would definitely like to prepare more than we had before.

Raddick: I've been around playing since Ballista was released and I have always been a big fan of it. I play whenever I have the time to. Ballista Royale is a great way to introduce more organized competition to a part of FFXI that so many people like myself enjoy very much.
Zygot: I haven't had much experience with the tourney yet, I have been the back up incase people don't show. I was however able to compete in the first match, and was kept up to date with points in the final. So far it's been fun and I look forward to the upcoming battles.

Mystywysty: My experience with the tournament thus far has been one of many emotions. I have confidence in my team's ability to play and win but uncertainty sinks in when I begin to think of my opponents. Before a match begins, I always get anxious, but once I hear the Ballista music I am calm and focused. After matches I am happy for my team because we have won but a feeling of sadness for my opponents is prevalent as well. It's too bad not everyone can win.
Zenko: So far we rocked every team we've faced, of course before each match I tend to get a little nervous, but I'm getting better at that.

Ivede: We usually have some sort of strat we follow at the start... in the middle of the match it's just putting our basic ballista knowledge to best use.
Godshand: 3-4 times a week our leader would reserve diorama with ballista royale rules and we would practice in situations. MNK vs RDM & WHM. WHM RDM BLM & BRD vs MNK RNG SAM WAR. Different combinations we might experience. We also fought against friends in a 6vs6.
Zenko: We trained hard in Diorama and we worked on different techniques like Survival, Damage Output, Weakness Recognition, and Reaction time.

Mystywysty: You've all proven yourselves to be the best in your server so to me you are all winners, however, there can only be one amongst us who can wear the crown.
Faramir: Our BLM may be small but I'm scared of her also ; -;

Guilt: "Game time" so to speak, is my favorite part of the tournament. Everything that is being built up, the anticipation is finally released and I'm able to let it out during the match. I think it's also safe to say that the rewards are also exciting. My team and I have items, and titles that no other NA on Alexander has, furthermore, only a handful of JP players have them as well; the allure of being the tournament winner and getting the Laurel Crown is just as great.
Guglielmo: My favorite part of the tournament so far is how challenging it is, constantly expanding my "rook busting" skills!

Sargeantluigi: Only thing we did was most of the time members ask me to dig info on the opposing team like who is on the team and what jobs were they. So we can take the necessary measures to eliminate them on game day. We also look at the teams past match scores maybe it will help.

Wonton: This tournament has been a blast. I've enjoyed all our matches (minus the trash talking in our 2nd match). Being called the favorites going into the tournament kind of made us nervous because all the other teams are gonna bring their "A" Game and properly prepare for you. Luckily we have a great team and have overcome all our opponents. We are hoping for top8 finish in server vs. server, but if we happen to fall early there will be no regrets as we are taking server vs. server more relaxed approach.

Gniksiger: We didn't really have any training, but we had a good friend of ours, Rassam, who helped us alot on our strats. Thank you Rassam! ^^
Wonton: We didn't really have a Ballista Training Regime. All we did was enter Diorama once tested out our WS on each other and against other jobs. We also played a couple 60 capped ballistas but those aren't really training since you get subjobs. Probably something that helped us a lot, we asked the JP winners of Leviathan what they did. Shanna: So far in this Tournament, I have had a wonderful time experiencing everyone's techniques etc, it has been a blast.
Coejus: Ballista Royale has been an amazing experience. I am truly lucky to have been a part of this event. I had no idea what to expect when I got into this.
Sanzou: The tournament itself has been real exciting for us. Although we got seeded into the 2nd round and then our first team was a no show, each time before a match was a real exciting time for our team as we prepared for the matches. The final match was especially exciting due to previous sparring practices with this team and knowing their capabilities of beating us.
Sireen: So far, this has been the most exciting event I have ever experienced in FFXI.

Sanzou: The favorite part of Ballista Royale would be winning the matches themselves. It was such a relief to win after knowing we spent time preparing for these matches, and performing the things that we had done in practices.

Edarion: Yes, in fact, we tried to keep it as organized as possible. Sometimes it was less turnout than expected, but we happened to employ strategy and even small skills training just like any professional sports team would (just not on a daily basis). Our team is made up of all people in our same HNM linkshell, and so we are also obliged to help the people that are not on the Ballista team normally. However, they have given us room and have even started playing Ballista just to help us train. Our biggest help has always been the different people around Siren, giving us tips, scrimmaging with us, and also giving us moral support. My members on the team may think I'm crazy to be so passionate about a thing like Ballista, but hopefully they will realize in the future that it will pay off.

Vail: It's interesting to see what players take up for their strats, keeps me active, keeps me on my toes if you will. Some opponents are rough and others were cheering us even after their defeat, on Siren, Server spirit is strong, we want to see Siren hold both titles of region champs.

Radigast: As far as training, Zing is composed of Ballista veterans, people that when you check them, you seen lots of medals, and have lots of experience in ballista. It took a while to get used to the no sub job rule, but other than that, we're all professionals.
Kris: When the team was first put together we did several training sessions to get our strategy and teamwork down. Besides that, we've been mostly doing the normal ballista to refine our skills.

Myrle: For myself the Ballista Royale experience has been quite unexpected. Normal ballista matches are quite long by comparison, and are generally more forgiving if you make a mistake. I find the royale matches to be very intense, so much so that there is no room for error. I find it to be one of the most exciting events I have ever participated in. I shiver in anticipation the day of the match. Its an absolutely fantastic experience.
Remus: So far the tournament has been very intense and exciting for us, we played against very good teams on our server. There was a lot of pressure to win our server preliminaries, but now that it's over we can move on and focus with the final inter-world tournament.
