FINAL FANTASY XI Tour: Gardena, California Post-Show Report!

Photos from Gardena, California:

February 26, 2005 - Gardena, California was turned upside-down when 400 FINAL FANTASY XI fans swarmed one of the largest cyber cafes in the state. Internet PC Cafe was literally jam-packed with people from all over California, with some even cosplaying their favorite FINAL FANTASY XI job!

During the course of the event, guests were treated to a surprise sneak peek at Front Mission Online (currently in beta testing in Japan). FINAL FANTASY XI free play, Ballista, and beautiful Mithra were also huge hits. The highlight of the event was easily the Tarutaru Marathon, where a group of 50 Tarutaru level 1 white mages ran from checkpoint to checkpoint in perilous areas to gather their cure spell and be the first to cure the Mithra "Goalnya" at the finish line. The night was filled with tense moments, and when that tension broke, you could hear the crowds cheering a city block away.

The most productive part of the evening was our first ever discussion panel. The North American support staff and our special guest, Sage Sundi, did a great job of answering our community's questions. You can read the transcript of the Sage Sundi panel here. Get your questions ready for the next event!

The Square Enix event staff would like to congratulate the prize winners and thank everyone for coming out and showing their support for Square Enix and FINAL FANTASY XI.

The next location on our tour will be revealed very soon! We hope you had fun and we'll see you soon!

Sincerely,
Square Enix event staff
