| Another
unique feature from Xenogears is the way cut scenes are implemented. Drawing
upon the artistic talents of Japanese animators, and exploiting the giant-robot
genre of Japanese anime from which Xenogears is rooted in, a blend of CG
overlapped by character animation is used to draw the player into the world
of Xenogears. To make the experience as smooth as possible, the creators
of the animation featured in the Ghost in The Shell game were contacted
for the job. With such noted features as the Ghost in The Shell movie as
well as the television series Neon Genesis Evangelion on their resume, we
are confident that the finished product will not disappoint. Heading up
the animation for Xenogears is Mr. Koichi Mahimo, himself a veteran of the
animation industry. Under his guidance, over a half hour of footage was
developed for Xenogears, a feat which took over six months from the planning
stages to completions, including two months devoted to the creation of hand-drawn
animation cells. |
